Privacy and data protection

White Rose University Press is jointly managed by the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York. The Universities recognise the importance of personal privacy and ensure that all personal data is held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. Compliance is managed by Data Protection colleagues across the sites, and the Data Controller for White Rose operations is the University of York, on behalf of the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a right of access to your data, a right to rectification, erasure (in certain circumstances), restriction, objection or portability (in certain circumstances). Emails

If you email the libraries@whiterose.ac.uk  email address, this will seen by a member of White Rose Libraries staff. White Rose Libraries will retain emails for 12 months from the last exchange in the conversation, in case further correspondence follows.

White Rose Libraries and WordPress use Google Analytics which generates cookies to produce statistics on website usage. The information about pages accessed is stored purely for statistical purposes. Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting has also been enabled, but this does not contain personally identifiable information. You can opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics which will prevent Google Analytics from gathering data across all websites.

Data gathered through Google Analytics is retained for up to 12 months by White Rose University Press. After the data has been used to generate statistical reports, it is deleted.
